America’s national park system, including parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon , is one of the largest in the world. Huge areas in coastal, mountainous and desert regions have been preserved.
There are tough laws against all forms of polluting. The emphasis now is on businesses and environmental groups working together. That way, the environment can be preserved without people losing their jobs or businesses losing a lot of money.
