Unit 13 Book 2 Movies

Most American movie theaters do not allow people to bring food inside. If you want to eat, you’ll have to buy something at the theater, at a very high price.

There are still a few drive-in theaters left, but not many. At a drive-in, you drive your car into a huge parking lot in front of a giant screen. You listen to speakers placed next to each parking space. It can be a fun experience.

It is considered very rude to talk inside a movie theater while the movie is playing. Also, beeping watches, pagers and cellular phones should all be turned off, to avoid unpleasant looks from other movie goers.

Matinee shows (usually all films shown before 5:30) can be a great bargain. Tickets can be as cheap as half the price of evening shows.
